About RED NOSES Jordan

RED NOSES Jordan (RNJO) is a branch office of RED NOSES International (RNI) headquarter in Vienna/Austria. In 2017, RNJO was officially registered in Jordan and became the 11th organization of RED NOSES Group. 

With the mission of bringing humour and laughter to people in need of joy, the healthcare clowns’ team at RNJO regularly conducts bedside visits and circus workshops at various medical and social facilities across Amman and throughout Jordan. Currently, RNJO operates three main programmes: The Healthcare Programme, which provides personalized emotional support through the art of clowning for children undergoing medical treatment in different healthcare settings; The Older Citizens Programme, which focuses on improving the quality of life for older adults living in elderly homes, addressing issues like illness, loneliness, and isolation; and The Crisis Response Programme, which focuses on displaced children and refugees in Jordan, offering a special circus workshop to bring joy and relief.

For its office located in Amman, RED NOSES Jordan is seeking to hire an External Accountant/Accounting Firm, starting April 1st, 2025, to conduct the following tasks: 

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Payroll and payments processing:

  • Review invoices and prepare all regular monthly payments.

  • In compliance with the Jordanian labour law, prepare and arrange the monthly payroll payments for staff members, after deductions of income tax and social security.

  • Monitor the organization’s cash flow to ensure there is enough liquidity for day-to-day operations.

2. Compliance with Tax Authorities, Social Security Corporation and internationally recognized accounting standards:

  • Prepare monthly payments for the tax authorities (eg: income tax, deduction at source), in collaboration with RNJO tax consultant. 

  • Prepare monthly payments and reconciliations for the Social Security. 

3. Financial records keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organisation, in accordance with the internal financial policy and workflow.

  • Acute and timely book-keeping of all financial transactions into the accounting system (QuickBooks). 

  • Manage the accounting software, ensuring they are set up correctly and functioning properly.

4. Annual audit:

  • Prepare the financial statements and relevant documents required for the annual audit by the audit firm approved by RNJO.

  • Prepare the necessary reports for the income tax declaration at the end of the fiscal year.

5. Account reconciliation: 

  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy in financial data, such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

  • Petty cash reconciliation.

6. Reporting: 

  • Support the budgeting process and prepare the financial quarterly reports to RNI.

  • Support in the annual reporting for the supervising ministry- Takamol.

  • Support in reporting for partners, donors and stakeholders.

7. Other requirements:

  • Provide suggestions on how to improve RNJO current financial policies and workflow.

  • RED NOSES International has introduced a new reporting system for the RED NOSES group globally. Therefore, in the first month, the external accountant is expected to do all the needed adjustments in QuickBooks to integrate it into the RED NOSES new reporting system. This is done in collaboration with RED NOSES International. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Have a degree in finance, accounting, or other related fields.

  • At least 3 years of working experience in similar jobs, preferably in an international organisation.

  • Experience working with QuickBooks Accounting Software.

  • Proficient in English and Arabic. 

  • The ability to work in multinational and diverse environment, and flexibility to work alone and with a team.

  • The accountant will be working with the Administration and Fundraising Manager based in Amman, and reporting directly to RED NOSES Jordan Branch Office Manager in Vienna.

  • Be available to work equivalent to one day/week at the office of RED NOSES Jordan in Amman. Exact distribution of hours throughout the week can be mutually agreed upon.
